Top Rated Actor for "Mi Gente!" Latine Open Call

I’ve officially joined the ranks of Top Rated Actors for the ¡MI GENTE! Latine Global Open Call Database by CSA!!!

I managed to get in my work before the deadline in February. And like most auditions- I hit send and let it go. And didn’t give it a second thought. Fast forward to June- and I heard this incredible news. Within a week I was recording a live callback with a member of the CSA Board of Directors. And as of this week- my work is now live in an exclusive Top Ratings database to ALL of CSA Members.

This submission process was selective. They received 3,463 tapes from all over the world, and tapes reviewed by a committee of CSA Casting professionals. I had to prepare, and self-tape a scene from a list of provided scripts. After submitting my initial self-taped scene I found out, that I was Called Back, & that my tape was in the Top 347!!!!!!

From there, I attended a live zoom callback with the talented Candido Cornejo Jr., and Casting Assistant: Linda Moulton where I got to do some lovely redirects and record my scene live.

And as of this week- the official database is LIVE! As part of the Mi Gente’s Top 10%, my callback tape is now posted in its own separate link for all Top Ratings category! My tape is a part of an elite database for Casting professional CSA Members to find talent for on-going castings.

And to wrap this perfectly amazing experience, today I got to attend the official Mi Gente En Vivo event! With a live panel of CSA casting professionals.

.

I am so thankful for:

ABOUT THE OPEN CALL:

This Latine Global Open call is an initiative to bring underrepresented groups to the forefront. A database is being generated where all tapes and individuals submitted will be incorporated for CSA Members to access when they are looking for Latine Talent in a specific region.

The Live Virtual discussion is part of CSA’s Commitment to Equity in Entertainment in #Casting initiative, a series of conversations designed to affect concrete change in how creatives in this historically underrepresented community have been perceived, what they have achieved, and how we can create systemic change while moving the needle of progress forward.
