 The Williams Project

Adapted from the writings of Tennessee Williams

By Clare Lopez

Directed by Patricia Troxel and Clare Lopez

The Williams Project was devised in 2012 for use of Conservatory Students exploration of the writing of Tennessee Williams. This piece utilized biographical, and autobiographical text about Tennessee Williams, as well as excerpts from his plays: Cat on A Hot Tin Roof, Camino Real, Vieux Carré. Written chronologically, piece also integrated the works of Viewpoints, Laban, and other movement modalities to create a unique story which explores the correlation between Willam's unique struggles and his playwriting.
